Pronunciation

Carefully pronounce the "F" sound...it should not sound like a "P".  Your lower lip should touch your upper teeth when making the "F" sound.  Your lips should not touch together.

Say one of the two words to your partner.  Can your partner correctly choose what word you said?

Grammar

Adverbs of frequency used in the book: always, often, sometimes, rarely, and never.

Adverbs of frequency come before the main verb in a sentence, except for the main verb "to be".

  • I always eat rice.

  • I never go shopping.

  • I am often happy.

The frequency adverb sometimes can also be used at the beginning or the end of the sentence.

  • Sometimes I go downtown.

  • I go downtown sometimes.

Conversation Practice

With one or two partners, ask and answer the questions.  Make your own questions and ask your partners.  Here are some examples;

  • How often do you go shopping?

  • How often do you drink soju?

  • How often do you go on a blind date (미팅, 소개팅)?

  • How often do you study English?
